Paris, 2 December 2025 - Digital Penang extends it's thanks to the International Chamber of Commerce and Mind the Bridge for this global recognition given to Digital Penang for the award of Startup Ecosystem Rising Star 2025 - Best-in-Class Startup Program.
We thank the international panel of judges as well on this credit given to us.
This award provide us with the motivation to continue to improve our work for the startups here in Penang.
It also demonstrate the commitment of the State Government of Penang through Digital Penang towards Startup Ecosystem Development
In line with the State's Penang 2030 vision of nurturing 500 startups by the year 2030, Digital Penang aimed to be in the forefront on 0-1 early stage ecosystem development for Penang and to develop local startups to be regional companies as well as to attract foreign startups into the ecosystem.
Lastly Digital Penang dedicate this award to all our stakeholder partners who have been supportive of us and all our startups in Penang. This recognition would not be possible without your dedication to build your startup and in partnering with us.

George Town, 27 November 2025 – Startup Venture Vibes (SVV) brings together founders, innovators, and ecosystem partners to accelerate 0–1 venture building. SVV Penang 2025 was the first-ever participant-led unconference in Penang, and possibly Malaysia, designed to empower founders and foster a vibrant startup community. The event was officiated by YB Zairil Khir Johari, Penang State Exco for Infrastructure and Transport, who reaffirmed the state’s commitment to developing a strong startup ecosystem.
In collaboration with the Business Angel Network (MBAN) as both partner and organiser, the morning sessions featured interactive huddle pods and speaker-led discussions, enabling cross-learning and founder-driven insights. The session was opened by the President of MBAN, Mr Peter Wee, who shared an exciting and inspiring session with the participants. A special thanks to Effortsly and 42 Penang for hosting a partner event, AI Bootcamp for SVV.
The afternoon included a friendly pickleball session and a networking dinner, strengthening connections within the community. Digital Penang CEO Ts. Kwang Ming Ng and Mr Alan Ong, council member and MBAN chairman, provided an encouraging opening remark to welcome attendees for the evening sessions.
The day concluded with the announcement of new SP500 ventures, with special recognition to the top three winners – Nocturnal Tech (Champion), Vision Industries (Runner-Up), and Mobius Vision (2nd Runner-Up) – for their outstanding innovation and venture potential. Congratulations to all SP500 ventures, and we look forward to making Startup Venture Vibes a regional event in 2026. A special thank you to Tricia Francis, Dalia Ruslan, and the council members of MBAN for their tremendous effort in co-organising this event.
