👏 Here's a recap of what Digital Penang has been up to last week. 🚀

1. On 28 July, Digital Penang participated as the Digital Economy Partner at CTOS SME Biz Day 2026. Together with Kaspersky, our booth showcased practical cybersecurity solutions and raised awareness of the importance of cyber resilience. We were also proud to have Mohamad Elias, Manager of SME & Community Development at Digital Penang, serving as one of the panel session moderators, contributing valuable insights to the discussion.

2. On 29 July, Digital Penang welcomed representatives from ADAMS AI and Tencent Malaysia for a discussion on advancing AI innovation and digital entrepreneurship in Penang. We appreciate the strong support from both organisations and look forward to future collaborations. 🤝

3. Also on 29 July, we were pleased to welcome the Crayon team to Digital Penang for a meaningful discussion. The visit opened up valuable opportunities to explore future collaborations that can further support businesses and innovation in Penang. 💡

4. Also on 29 July, Digital Penang and Kaspersky jointly organised a practical cybersecurity workshop specially designed for Penang MSMEs. Participants gained valuable insights from industry experts on cybersecurity best practices for retailers, cafés, and workshops, as well as cost-effective solutions to strengthen business resilience against cyber threats. 🔐

5. On 30 July, Digital Penang participated in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) for the Penang Smart City Blueprint, jointly organised by Jabatan Perancang Bandar dan Desa Pulau Pinang and ESG Analitico, the lead consultant for the study.

6. On 31 July, Digital Penang welcomed the CelcomDigi Business team for a productive discussion. The team introduced the CelcomDigi Practical AI Platform, demonstrating how businesses can leverage AI-powered automation to improve productivity and operational efficiency. We look forward to exploring more opportunities to collaborate. 🤖

7. From 1–2 August, together with NixFrontier Group, Digital Penang kicked off the SPARK500 Programme, welcoming 11 student founder teams from universities across Malaysia. Through expert-led sessions and investor-focused mentorship, participants gained practical insights to strengthen their startup ideas and accelerate their entrepreneurial journey. 🌱

8. On 2 August, Digital Penang collaborated with Polis Diraja Malaysia ( Royal Malaysia Police ) and the Minor Basilica of St. Anne to organise a scam awareness programme for the community. It was encouraging to see strong participation, especially from senior citizens, while our Director, Khooi Chu Boon, also shared Digital Penang's initiatives in promoting digital literacy and empowering the community. ❤️
