Terms of Programs & Events

The following are terms of participation to all events and programs organised by Digital Penang and this includes all programs and activities that are conducted in collaboration with appointed official partners by Digital Penang.

Acceptance of Terms

By signing up or participating  in our program or event, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not sign up or participate.

You must meet the eligibility criteria specified for the program or event. We reserve the right to verify your eligibility at any time. We also reserve the right to deny your application and cancel your participation to the program or event at any time without any prior written notification.

We reserve the right to change, modify or update the program or event at any time without prior notification to you. This include but not limited to its date, time, structure, content, speakers, payments (if any) and others. It is your responsibility to review the program or event periodically for changes. We will provide any updates on the best effort basis.

The collected user data from program registration and any other submissions required by the program or event will be used for the sole purpose of event administration, communication and coordination. We may use the information to send you current and future event-related updates, announcements, and relevant materials. We may share necessary information with third-party service providers involved in event logistics such as venue management, catering and event support. Otherwise, your information will not be sold or shared with third parties that are not official partner of the event or program or Digital Penang for marketing purposes. We also reserved the right to use photos taken during the event or programs for our marketing and publication purposes and you/participant hereby agree to provide consent without limitations to Digital Penang to use such photos and images in our company and programme communications and publications.

Participation in the program or event may involve certain risks. By signing up or participating, you acknowledge and assume all risks associated with your participation, including but not limited to financial losses, physical injury, property damage, or other harm.

You hereby agree to release and discharge us from any and all claims or liabilities arising out of your participation in the program or event. This includes claims for financial losses, personal injury, property damage, or any other loss.

We strongly recommend that you maintain appropriate insurance coverage, including but not limited to health, property, and liability insurance, to mitigate any potential risks associated with your participation.

a. Fees and Charges (if any): You agree to pay any fees or charges associated with your participation in the program or event as specified by us.

b. Payment Terms: Payment terms, including due dates and accepted payment methods, will be communicated to you upon sign-up or registration.

c. Refunds: Refund policies, if applicable, will be clearly outlined. Refunds may be subject to specific conditions and deadlines.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your participation in the program or event at our discretion without prior notification, including for violation of these terms, misconduct, or any other reason deemed appropriate by us.

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms of Service at any time. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically for changes.
